Mobile Phone Providers Overview
Mobile Phone Providers allows you to indicate the mobile phone provider used by Contacts. There are a default set of Mobile Phone Providers pre-installed with CiviCRM: Sprint, Verizon and Cingular/AT&T. Use this function to modify or add new Mobile Phone Providers.
Setup Mobile Phone Providers
Begin at the Administer CiviCRM page. In the Setup section, choose Mobile Phone Providers.
You will see a list of existing mobile phone providers. You can create a NEW provider or Edit, Disable or Delete EXISTING providers using the links to the right of each provider.
NEW
To enter a New Mobile Phone Provider, click on the >>New Mobile Provider link at the bottom of the list of options.
Type in the Label, Description and Weight for each option. You can enable/disable the option by checking or unchecking the box labeled Enabled?
Click Save to save the option.
If successful, you will see the message:
The Mobile Provider "Cingular/AT&T" has been saved.
EXISTING
For EXISTING providers you can Edit, Disable or Delete each option using the links to the right of each provider.
EDIT
Selecting Edit will bring you to the Edit Mobile Providers Options page where you can change the Label, Description and Weight for each option. Here you can also enable/disable the option by checking or unchecking the box labeled Enabled?
Click Save to save the option.
If successful, you will see the message:
The Mobile Provider "Cingular/AT&T" has been saved.
DISABLE
Select Disable to temporarily disable an existing Mobile Phone Providers. You will see the warning:
"Are you sure you want to disable this Mobile Provider? Users will not be able to select this value when adding or editing Mobile Provider"
Click OK to continue or Cancel to cancel disabling the mobile provider.
To re-enable the provider, simply click on Enable.
DELETE
Select Delete to delete the provider. You will be given this warning:
WARNING: Deleting this option will result in the loss of all Mobile Provider related records which use the option. This may mean the loss of a substantial amount of data, and the action cannot be undone. Do you want to continue?
Click Delete to continue or Cancel to cancel the deletion.
