Manage Events Overview
In CiviCRM you can create many event pages and use them for different purposes. You can offer online event registration for some or all events - and even collect payments from registrants if desired. You can create new events as often as you wish to meet your needs.

If you don't see the Administrative options for CiviEvent in the control panel, you will need to enable the component. Go to Administer CiviCRM >> Global Settings >> Enable Components to do this. See Enable Components.
