Sample CiviMail Messages

CiviMail email messages must include an opt-out link or email address, and the postal address of your organization.
These elements are required by law and help reduce the chances of your email being categorized as SPAM. You include these by placing two special tokens somewhere in the body or footer of the HTML and Text versions of your messages. You can also include an unsubscribe link in your mailings to allow constituents to remove themselves from a specific mailing list.

Action Links

We recommend using the clickable link token (optOutUrl) for the opt-out action (highlighted below). Links to a web page are generally more convenient options for your constituents then replying to a special email address. Check this page for the full range of action tokens.
