What are CiviCRM Profiles used for? How can I create a sign-up form to collect contact info from visitors to my site?

Use CiviCRM Profile(s) when you want to allow end-users to edit and/or view specific fields from their own contact information. You can also:

  • Create standalone sign-up/input forms to collect contact info from site visitors
  • Create searchable listings of a subset on contact information to be shared between users
  • Control which data is used to identify duplicate contact records

Refer to the Profiles Admin section for detailed information on creating and using Profiles.
