How is mapping supposed to work for event registration?

For mapping of location there are three things:

  1. Set the Map Provider and Provider Key in global settings.
  2. Enable the map in Configure Event->Event Info
  3. Location should have valid Address, so that we can calculate latitude-longitude.

So after these settings you will find a "Map this Location" link on the Event Information Page.

Thanks for your help. It turns out that I had created the events before I set up the mapping provider information in CiviCRM. That meant my event's latitude and longitude information was not saved. Opening the event location configuration page and resaving it geocoded the address so I now have maps.
