Does CiviCRM have mail merge (to MS-Word eg) features or export features that can be used to create MS-Word Merge Data documents?

You can export data by doing a search and selecting export from the actions dropdown menu. In the export wizard you have an opportunity to select precisely which fields you want to export and can save that mapping for future use.

Exported files are csv files that can be used as a mail merge source by most common word processing programs.
