Installing CiviCRM onto a Server

CiviCRM can be hosted inside the Drupal OR Joomla Content Management Systems. This section covers Installation and Upgrade procedures for each environment. Not covered is CiviCRM inside Acquia Drupal. Installation in that specific package (or "collection of essential software") simply follows that for Drupal, as in the next section (Install CiviCRM for Drupal).
