Return to Manage EventsTell A FriendIn this step, you can configure the Tell A Friend feature to let participants spread the word about an event. You will be able to go back and modify all aspects of this page at any time after completing the setup wizard. If you want to provide registrants the option to tell a friend page for this event, check the first box below and then complete the fields on this form. Tell A Friend Enabled? - Click the box to enable Tell A Friend. This will open up fields to configure the page. Here, Title and Thank-you Title are required fields. These items will appear on the Tell A Friend form. Introduction - Enter the text you want to appear at the top of your Tell A Friend form. This message is displayed to the participant at the top of the Tell a Friend form. You may include HTML tags to add formatting or links. Suggested Message - Enter the text you want to use as default for the Tell A Friend message. This provides the participant with suggested text for their personalized message to their friends. Info Page Link - A link to this Event Information page is automatically included in the email sent to friends. If you ALSO want to include a link providing general information about your organization, enter that link here (e.g http://www.example.org/). Thank-you Title - Enter the text you want to appear after a participant uses Tell A Friend. Thank-you Message - Enter the text you want to use to thank participants for spreading the word. You may include HTML tags to add formatting or links. Click Save or Save and Done to proceed or Cancel to cancel the event configuration. If your event configuration is successful you will see the event listed on the Main Manage Events Page. |
