How do I replace 1.7 beta with 1.7 stable?

QUESTION:
Can anyone recommend the best way to move to the latest stable release?
How can I tell if there were any DB changes?
How can I grab only the changed files?

RESPONSE:
We avoid doing any DB changes once we release a beta. 1.7 has followed that rule and there are no DB changes from beta -> stable.

You do not need to reinstall the database or change the settings file. Just untar the latest codebase on top of your older beta code.
