Whenever I click on CiviCRM in the Drupal menu, the system logs me out and throws me to index.php?q=civicrm/contact/search/basic&reset=1, with a message "You are not authorized to access this page."

Troubleshooting steps:

  • verify that the user you're logged in as has 'access CiviCRM' as well as 'edit and view contacts' permissions under drupal Access Control.
  • If that's not the issue, please check the drupal watchdog error log to see if the civicrm module is reporting any errors.
