Schreibe zusammengesetzte Wörter als mehrere einzelne Wörter |
Obwohl das nicht der gramatischen Norm entspricht, ist es einfacher zu verstehen |

Scandinavian translation resources
Translations of CiviCRM exist in Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, and Swedish. They need to be completed, improved and continuously maintained by feedback from users. Since May 2010, translations are maintained at the Transifex website, with pages for the Danish, Finnish, and Swedish translation teams and their discussions (no Norwegian team yet).
Translation of phrases should be consistent with a standard terminology (table below). Translations should be preferrably be unique and easy to understand.
Should system components (CiviEvent, CiviContribute, CiviMember, CiviMail, CiviGrant, CiviPledge, CiviCase, CiviReport) be translated or not?
I vote No/thoni56
"Pledge" is a hard word to translate. Greenpeace uses "støtte hver måned" (contribution each month) in Norwegian and "månatligt bidrag/belopp" (monthly contribution/amount) in Swedish. Bellona uses "fast giver" (steady contributor) in Norwegian. The Red Cross uses "støt os hver måned" (support us each month) and "fast bidrag/støtte/bidragyder" (steady contribution/support/contributor) in Danish and "månadsgivare" (monthly contributor) in Swedish. None of these examples is a real translation of "pledge" (the promise or intention of a recurring contribution).
In Swedish I'd like to go for "betalningsutfästelse" rather than "betalningslöfte", because I think it is more inline with the English term. And this would be the term Civi* would use through out, but of course the wording that you apply to your "customers" might be different./thoni56
Authorizations for bank withdrawal are known as "avtalegiro" in Danish and Norwegian and "autogiro" in Swedish.
I also prefer "arrangemang" rather than "evenemang" as in Swedish a small meeting is not really an "evenemang" but could still be an "arrangemang", and a big event could still be an "arrangemang"./thoni56

soft credit |
|
|
|
|
Soft credit is who gets the credit for having gotten this donation. Every contribution should be able to have soft credit assigned with the possibility of dividing credit among two or more people. This would usually be done by taking the specific dollar amount and splitting it up, but it means there needs to be somethiing like relationship data for each contribution. |
