Pre-work

This is the home page for the TechSoup Developers' Boot Camp. We will focus on working with CiviCRM v2.0. This will enable us to make changes in the 2.0 or 2.1 release based on timing. Please read the following for background information:

• CiviCRM Architecture
• CiviCRM v2.0
• Installing CiviCRM from subversion (SVN) repository

Please ensure that you have PHP 5.2.x and MySQL 5.0.x installed and running on your laptops. It would be good to also have CiviCRM v2 (trunk in svn) installed and running from svn. Note that trunk is still a bit unstable, but is in a good enough state for developme

Day 1

Morning sessions

• Tour of CiviCRM as an admin and end-user.
• Review of CiviCRM <-> Drupal integration
• Review code structure and ERD (schema)

Afternoon session

• Project: Custom fields - allow sharing of groups of options
