Introduce yourself and let us know what you want to get out of the training here!

I'm Jamie McClelland and I work for the Progressive Technology Project where I do development work on Powerbase as well as maintain our hosting infrastructure using aegir. I'm looking forward to getting a more solid grounding in the structure of CiviCRM so I can better extend it and and offer patches and improvements. Some of you may also know me from May First/People Link , my other hat.

I'm Graham Mitchell and I work for myself, under the trading name MC3 . we are currently based in the Pennines in West Yorkshire. I've been implementing sites using Drupal and CiviCRM since about 2006. I have VERY basic knowledge of coding, and chose to come on this course because it seemed like a much better fit in terms of extending my knowledge of CiviCRM than the user and administrator training day. I'm very interested to learn more about the architecture of CiviCRM and how I can begin to have better control over CiviCRM than is currently enabled purely through the UI. I'd like to learn about how to extend CiviCRM and generally get a much better understanding of the whole thing. I'm hoping to come away from the training with some useful tips and tricks and a solid if basic understanding of what I can do, and how, as well as what more I need to learn in order to further improve my skills. I guess my concern is that I am coming to this training with insufficient coding skills which may create problems for the trainer/s and/or other training participants, as well as for me. I'm hoping that the trainers will understand this issue and enable everyone involved to get good outcomes!

Hi there, i'm totally new to civicrm. I'm a developer recently started working for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.

I have about 4 years PHP experience and two years dedicated specifically to custom drupal projects.

I will be wanting to find out initially what civicrm has to offer and also how this can be customised, expanded and integrated with on all levels.
