This guide describes the installation process for CiviCRM.
CiviCRM on Linux
Linux installation has been performed on Debian (both sarge and sid/unstable) and Ubuntu (Debian derived desktop distro) - be warned it contains Debian specific package names and installation commands. However, with a little experience you should be able to apply the hints included here to any other Linux operating system. We are also looking for help refining the Windows installation procedures (see link below for the first draft of this). ![]()
The installation process consists of two steps:
- Linux installation - setting up the environment (MySQL, Apache2 and PHP)
- Linux installation - Drupal and CiviCRM
CiviCRM on Windows
