London CiviCon feeedback
The London CiviCon incorporated most of the above changes. Here are a couple more that came out of discussions / email after the conference
- More aggresive with pitching sponsorship opportunities to the Professional Services Listing. i.e. send them email early on, send multiple emails
- Add a session description to the program, giving info about contents of talk and speaker
- I felt some of the sessions were not very well explained / described in the schedule, often I did not understand what the session was going to consist of until I was actually in it. For example: CiviCRM as Open SaaS: I didn't know before and still don know what 'Open SaaS' means although it was interesting to learn about civisites. (from a user email).
- Have one session with structured Q&A split into smaller groups - user / integrator / drupal modules / developer / sclability etc

Good suggestions.
I'd consider repeating some sessions.
You might also use the program to sell advertising: a folded and stapled 8.5 x 11 booklet would make the conference more professional and more than pay for itself.
The sessions didn't seem too long - I wouldn't shorten them.
A pre-event session during the registration / coffee time could help intro people who haven't been to a CiviCon to what to expect.
I might pitch something like the session on what D7 has to teach Civi as a core developer discussion. Might make sense to try to have a few core developer discussions.
I think some sessions on how to run good CiviCRM Consulting businesses / projects would be helpful.

Regarding sponsorships / sponsors:
While most of the Consulting providers are quite small, it might be good to offer booth space in the future (for a fee, of course).
Probably a better idea is to offer to put marketing material/swag into a bag/package given to attendees. Would be good for more of us to start producing it.
Might also be nice to have a job seeking session, as many sponsors could use new hires.
