The CiviCRM team engages in selected consulting projects as a primary means of sustaining the project. We try to adhere to a few simple rules when choosing a project:
- The project has the potential to add/improve CiviCRM functionality.
- The organization has to understand Open Source and CiviCRM licensing / copyright issues
- The project has to be sufficiently large ( > 25 hours development )
Projects are generally done on a "time and materials basis". Our standard hourly rates - as of April 2011 - are as follows:

These rates are applicable for projects with sufficient advance notice and detailed specifications provided. Work on project components whose functionality will be part of the next CiviCRM release will be discounted by 25%.
Ad-hoc consulting and "priority" tech support will be billed at a rate of $175 per hour. Organizations that anticipate needing a "block" of ad-hoc / priority support hours should contact us to arrange a modified fee structure with a "subscriptions" for 20+ hours per month. This approach allows us to allocate/sustain priority support resources.
