Case History
This page contains all of the objects and properties that fall under the category "Definition of a Case". The table below contains all of the CPHN common indicators that are assigned by a system when the case is opened or closed.
The table compiles information for CiviCRM use including data and field type, choices (for Select, Multi-Select, Radio and Checkbox field types) , specificity (is the object / property general to all case management systems, or is it specific to Physician Health Programs' case management?), permissions and notes.
The CPHN reference links to a page containing information about the common indicator from the CPHN Common Indicators Guide.

I originally had this under "System Assigned" but after discussion, I notice that all of the elements that are read-only are system assigned. That does not seem like a good category. |

General to case management |

Often, when you open a case, you already have some activities recorded for the contact. So, you're usually consciously engaging in an activity like "I'm going to open a case". So, the question then is whether the Open_Date is the date associated with your conscious activity of opening the case, or the earliest date associated with the earliest activity now being considered included as part of the case. |

See above. Does Close_Date mean the date you consciously close the case, or the date associated with the last activity BEFORE you closed the case? |

Specific to Physician Health? |
read-write |
The choices that would come up for Physician Health would be specific to health care, but in all of case management there would be an initial "reason for contact". |

All cases eventually close. Broadly speaking they either stabilize, reach their case goals, you give up, you lose contact, or the client dies. Most reasons for termination fit into one of those categories. Not really specific to PHPs. |

maps to several different record types that get created. An activity target is created that has a value equal to a contact that has a relationship of "regulator" to this case (or this client). |
