CPHN Reference: Caller Role

Here is the definition and some information directly from the CPHN Guide for Common Indicators for Canadian Physician Health Programs:

The link between the caller role and the service group provides information about who is calling with respect to a particular service group.  This will enable programs to answer and compare who and how individuals access program services.

Caller Role VALUES (CATEGORIES):

  1. Client / Self: Member of a Professional Group
  2. Spouse / partner / family member: Related to a member of a Professional Service Group
  3. Professional relationship: Includes colleague, supervisor, professional association
  4. Regulatory body: Professional licensing body such as the College of Physicians and Surgeons
  5. Treating Clinician: A registered health professional from whom the client is receiving clinical services
  6. Member of the public: Includes patient of the client
  7. Other Relationship: e.g.Friend, girlfriend, boyfriend
